As principais áreas de atuação do laboratório são: estudos de patogênese, biologia celular e molecular de rhinovirus, enterovírus (vírus coxsackie B5) e vírus Oropouche, biologia molecular de picornavírus, patogênese de vírus sincicial respiratório e produção de insumos recombinantes para avaliação de resposta imune contra vírus Oropouche e enterovírus. Mais recentemente temos desenvolvido pesquisa sobre a biologia de vírus de Leishmania.
Study of the pathogenesis as well as molecular and cell biology of rhinovirus, enterovirus (virus coxsackie B5) and virus Oropouche; molecular biology of picornavirus; pathogenesis of respiratory syncytial virus; and production of recombinant input for evaluation of immune response against virus Oropouche and enterovirus. Research on the biology of Leishmania virus.
